One way to get great hair is to use natural oils to condition it. Very good results gives coconut oil, making hair rich and lustrous!
Using oils on the hair is OK for people with oily hair! because oiliness comes from extreme sebum production actually caused by dryness induced by most commercial, non natural shampoos! this theory applies to oily skin as well!
Very good oils for skin and hair care are olive oil, jojoba oil, neem oil, rosemary oil, monoi oil. Interestingly ylang ylang (Cananga odorata) essential oil is very good for hair! I love it because it smells wonderful! it regulates high blood pressure, normalizes sebum (excessive oiliness) and it is an aphrodisiac! :)
Neem oil is very good for dandruff and head lice and all kind of skin/hair problems like seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, infections.
Besides henna and oils, egg-yolk mixed with honey and olive oil makes a great hair mask.
Tip: Mix ylang-ylang essential oil with jojoba carrier oil or sweet almond oil and use it on the hair tips to prevent split ends!
